Jesus stayed on the shore, sending the disciples out into the boat ahead of him. That evening, after praying alone up on the mountainside, and while the disciples were now a considerable distance away out on the lake, Jesus walked out on the water towards the boat.
When the disciples saw him, they were terrified thinking him to be a ghost. “But Jesus immediately said to them; ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’
‘Lord, if it’s you,’ Peter replied, ‘tell me to come to you on the water.’ ‘Come,’ Jesus said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ‘You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’” (Matthew 14:22-31)
Lord Jesus, so many times, too numerous to count, You must have reached out Your hand to me and said, ‘Oh you of little faith, why did you doubt?’ When I failed to step forward thinking the task too big, did You say, ‘Oh child of little faith, why do you doubt?’
When I stumbled, fell and failed to get back up, did You say, ‘Oh my dear child of little faith, why do you doubt?’
Prayer from Colossians 1:9-14

You have saved me from the dominion of darkness and brought me into Your kingdom. How, Oh how is it that I still doubt? I desire to walk boldly in faith. I desire to meet my full potential as You intended for me.
